The Dalai Lama Is A USC Fan
The Dalai Lama showed up at the USC Galen Center to speak on Human Values and Society and of course the recent events surrounding the death of Osama Bin Laden. The Dalai Lama suggested that bin Laden’s death was justified.
“Forgiveness doesn’t mean forget what happened. … If something is serious and it is necessary to take counter-measures, you have to take counter-measures.”
The quote came as the Lama was wearing a USC hat, kind of a hidden irony in that especially since he canceled a similar talk at UCLA the day before.
