New Orleans Saints Reggie Bush Never Apologized To USC
This past week reports had come out that New Orleans Saints Reggie Bush apologized to new USC athletic director Pat Haden in a 15-minute phone conversation. However the Los Angeles Times has learned that the former Heisman trophy winner in fact did not apologize.
“Never did he say I’m sorry or I apologize. Never did he say, ‘I lied to the NCAA or I took stuff,” USC athletic director Haden said.
USC removed Bush’s 2005 Heisman trophy from display and the team is banned from playing in bowl games for the next two years. In June, the NCAA stripped USC of its victory in the 2005 National Championship game and vacate the entire 2005 season.
New Orleans Saints Reggie Bush Hooks Up With Mayra Veronica
It appears as if New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush has a new love interest and doesn’t look as if he’s dropped the ball in the TALENT department after breaking up with Kim Kardashian. While Dallas Cowboys Miles Austin is picking up leftovers, Bush is heading into new territory with Latin singer Mayra Veronica who has become one of the “most downloaded women on the internet,” according to FHM, which also named her one of their 100 Sexiest Women in the World.
Mama Margie’s Major Meltdown: USC
Every Thursday Sports Grind Entertainment will present you with the Mama Margie’s Major Meltdown. The recipient of this honor goes to the University of Southern California and its removal of its athletic director Mike Garrett and the return of Reggie Bush’s Heisman Trophy to the Heisman committee.
Big changes are taking place at USC and it began with the NCAA handing down it’s sanctions against the school and removal of their 2004 BCS National Championship. Sanctions like that come with consequences and the first was the replacing of Garrett with incoming athletic director Pat Haden.
Haden first action on the job was to give back the copy of the 2005 Heisman Trophy won by Bush because he was the focal point in the NCAA’s investigation that the school is now trying to appeal. The school still displays the Heisman Trophy of O.J. Simpson’s because his off the field troubles never had an direct effect on his playing days on the field or the schools record books with the NCAA.
Haden also removed all accomplishments achieved by basketball star O.J. Mayo.
Reggie Bush Spotted With Amber Rose
What a turn of events it’s been for New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush in the relationship department. Bush has kicked Kim Kardashian to the curb, so she can help the Dallas Cowboys and Miles Austin win the Super Bowl accroding to Denver Nuggets Ty Lawson, and hooked up with Amber Rose. So now the million dollar question who’s up next for Kanye West?
Reggie Bush’s Side Piece Shows Off His Crib
Long has been the rumor that Latina model Carmen Ortega is the woman claiming to have had a threesome with Reggie Bush that caused his temporary breakup with Kim Kardashian a while back.
Ortega hasn’t taken to kind to the fact the she’s the forgotten one and decided to go MTV Cribs on Bush’s home, guerrilla style. Showing everyone that she still has a key and access codes to his place.
Reggie Bush Fails To Come Through With Scholarships

Over Hyped Flop
He’s a Super Bowl champion now and that can never be taken away from him but what about the dreams of former Helix High School students Brandon Fountain and Matt Cobb?
In March 2007 they were presented a $10,000 scholarship from Bush, who graduated from Helix High School in 2003 before attending the University of Southern California. After college, he was drafted number 2 overall by the Saints in 2006 and signed a $26 million guaranteed contract. But after both students received an initial $2,500 installment on their scholarships in their freshman year they ran into problems the following year when trying to collect the next installment. The two families tried everything to collect the next installment and when they tried to contact the scholarship’s trustee, Jerry Michaels, they came up unsuccessful as well.
“Mr. Michaels never responded. A couple of weeks later, he (Brandon) sent more e-mails and still received no response,” said Fountain’s father, Bruce.
Finally they got a response but with disheartening news saying “the scholarship was he was out of funds and due to the economy he didn’t have the money,” said Cobb.
Michaels was then contacted by the local news who found out the the scholarship program setup by Bush but never contributed to the funds and never followed through.
While Bush spends money on an armored limousine to protect his girlfriend Kim Kardashian’s its the dreams of Fountain and Cobb that are dashed watching the Super Bowl. As they remember back to 2007 when Bush stood with them at Helix High and was credited for “giving back” to his former school, they are left with an empty promise and a scholarship with Bush’s name and without his assistance.
I wonder if this was where the TV show “The Office” got its inspiration to do the episode entitled Scott’s Tots (viewed here) this season?
USC’s Lane Kiffin Already Incurs Recruiting Infraction

That Didn't Take Long
University of Southern California head coach Lane Kiffin has already committed his first recruiting violations not even two weeks after taking the job.
With the February 3rd national signing day quickly approaching, head football coaches are doing everything they can to get that last 5 star recruit choose their school. Kiffin is no different but he’s already acting as if the rules do not apply to him. Kiffin committed his first recruiting violation, be it a minor one, when he picked up a recruit in a limo to show him the USC way.
The Trojans are now stranger to going after recruits with the Hollywood lifestyle and showing them they can use the USC program as a stepping stone for that NFL contract, or at least that’s how it was run under now Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll. Just ask Reggie Bush or Joe McKnight when starting off your inquiry.
During his tenure at Tennessee, the Volunteers reported six NCAA violations and is currently being investigated for at least two more violations.
University Of Southern California Hires Tennessee’s Lane Kiffin

Traitor
University of Southern California has hired University of Tennessee’s Lane Kiffin to take over Pete Carroll, who left for the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL, after just one season roaming the sidelines for the Volunteers. The hiring was announced by USC hours after Carroll was introduced in Seattle.
Kiffin who is in his third head coaching job in three seasons, 34, is a disciple of Carroll, serving on his staff from 2001 to 2006. In Kiffin’s last two seasons at USC, he was offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator.
Kiffin left USC in 2007 to coach the Oakland Raiders, becoming the youngest coach in the NFL’s modern era. He was fired after four games of his second season. He then was hired by Tennessee, going 7-6 and playing in a bowl game in his one season.
The move comes as a surprise because Kiffin had been with Tennessee for only this season and because UT has had at least six secondary violations of NCAA rules in Kiffin’s tenure, which spanned just 14 months. He comes to a Trojans program under NCAA investigation since 2006, when allegations were reported that 2005 Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush and his family received improper benefits from a would-be marketing representative.
Kiffin’s one season at Tennessee will be remembered for a series of verbal gaffes when he accused Florida coach Urban Meyer of cheating for contacting a recruit when the player was visiting Tennessee and the minor NCAA rules violations and now, for his quick departure for Southern California.
His quick exit for a return to Los Angeles, just three weeks before national signing day, was not taken well by Vols fans. Students burned mattresses and piles of trash and gathered around the athletic department building and “The Rock” had obscenities directed toward Kiffin.
Kiffin will bring with him his father, longtime NFL defensive coach Monte Kiffin, and veteran assistant Ed Orgeron, a former USC defensive line coach. Both were on the Tennessee staff last season.
Kiffin owes an $800,000 buyout to Tennessee for leaving early and Will Muschamp would look perfect on the sidelines of Tennessee.
O.J. Mayo Says He “May Have Some USC Money Left Over”

Where The Cash At
From the Orange County Register comes a story of Memphis Grizzlies O.J. Mayo doing an interview with Kenny Mayne for ESPN the Magazine and in it he says “may have some USC money left over.”
Mayo, formerly of USC and currently of the Grizzlies, was the subject of Kenny Mayne’s Outtakes. At the end of the Q&A, Mayne invited Mayo to the Breeders Cup.
Mayne: “… I want you to bring all the cash. Bring the NBA money.”
Mayo: “I’m just a rookie, man. I mean, I’m just a second-year player.”
Mayne: “Aren’t there mandatory minimums? You guys all make $40 million by this point.”
Mayo: “Well, I may have some USC money left over.”
It’s well documented that he received thousands from Rodney Guillory who was allegedly serving as a runner for an agency and reports that coach Tim Floyd even hand delivered cash to Guillory.
But the quote comes at an interesting time for USC because of the news that came out that they were self-imposing punishments on their basketball program for NCAA violations that occurred while Mayo was in school. A move to pretty much to saves the football team in the Reggie Bush investigation.
The university spares the football team by self imposing sanctions on the basketball team which include a loss of one scholarship, no postseason play for a team that’s going nowhere, paying money back to the Pac-10 that the football team will gladly take care of and smoke screen of trying to right the wrong that still is continuing on the other side of the campus. Just ask Joe McKnight.
