Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant says he is “about 50-50″ on playing overseas if the NBA lockout lasts. The league scoring champion hopes the work stoppage is settled in time for a full season, but says he’ll “have to think about” playing elsewhere if that doesn’t happen.
Durant said this as he attend a WNBA game between Tulsa Shock and Chicago Sky as well as saying he is a “basketball fanatic” who enjoys watching the women’s game.

Game Recruits A Team Of NBA All-Stars
With the upcoming NBA season questionable and talk of players going overseas, some players are just looking for an outlet to disperse their basketball spirit.
Jayceon Taylor, aka rapper Game, has assembled a team in the Drew League, an LA-based pro-am circuit. Go Ham, in its inaugural season, currently features players such as Oklahoma City Thunder Kevin Durant, Los Angeles Lakers Ron Artest aka Metta World Peace and Minnesota Timberwolves Derrick Williams, but the Game is still trying to lure other stars such as reigning MVP and Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose.
Apparently Durant hit up Game on Twitter with a request to join the team. Game is considered a player, coach,GM and has a history of playing league basketball as he was given a basketball scholarship to Washington State University before pursuing rapping full time.

Greg Oden Received Counseling To Deal With Injuries
Portland Trail Blazers Greg Oden, the former No. 1 pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, has received professional help to deal with the mental aspect of recovering from his numerous injuries according to Bill Duffy, president of BDA Sports agency which represents Oden.
“Counseling, therapy, interventions, just to let him understand all the pressures, not to put too much pressure on himself,” Duffy told Portland radio station KXL. “Everybody needs that. Not just an athlete but someone to talk to and share your thoughts and your concerns and just get reassurance. If you do things the right way, stay patient, keep your eye on the prize, you’ll be fine.”
Oden, who can become a free agent later this month, has played in 82 games in his four year NBA career with the Trail Blazers. He missed his rookie season and the 2010-11 season while dealing with microfracture knee surgeries and a broken patella. Oden had his latest microfracture surgery in November, and the procedure typically takes a year to heal.
Kevin Durant Still Playing Basketball After Being Eliminated From Playoffs
How long does Oklahoma City Thunder Kevin Durant keep himself off the courts and away from competitive basketball once he has been eliminated from the NBA playoffs? Bought as much time as it takes him to fly from Oklahoma back to Washington D.C. to play in the Goodman League something he has done every year he’s been in the NBA.
Mama Margie’s Major Meltdown: Oklahoma City Thunder
Every Thursday Sports Grind Entertainment will present you with the Mama Margie’s Major Meltdown. The recipient of this honor goes to the Oklahoma City Thunder who lead by 15 points with only 5 minutes to play at home in game 4 of the Western Conference Finals but ended up losing 112-105 to the Dallas Mavericks. Dallas didn’t lead until Dirk Nowitzki hit two free throws 16 seconds into overtime. Kevin Durant missed a 3-pointer on Oklahoma City’s opening possession of overtime then didn’t get another shot until he missed a 3 off the front rim in the final 10 seconds with the Thunder down by five. Durant continued a trend from this season (including playoffs), in which he has struggled in game-tying or go-ahead field-goal situations. In Monday’s game, Durant had an opportunity to win the game in regulation with a 30-foot three-point shot which ended up being blocked by Shawn Marion. During the playoffs, Durant is now 0-2 and Russell Westbrook is 0-3 in these situations.
The Mavericks are the only team in the last 15 seasons to win a playoff game in which it trailed by 15 or more points with 5 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

NBA To Investigate Jay-Z’s Visit With Kentucky
The NBA plans to investigate New Jersey Nets part-owner Jay-Z for the rapper’s visit to Kentucky’s locker room after the Kentucky Wildcats clinched a Final Four berth in Newark, New Jersey on Sunday.
Jay-Z was photographed and videotaped congratulating the Wildcats after the game. Kentucky has a few NBA prospects on its roster including freshmen Terrance Jones and Brandon Knight, who are both projected as lottery picks by some mock draft sites. CBSSports.com who first reported the investigation noted that the interaction could be considered similar to when Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge sat next to Kevin Durant’s mother during the 2007 Big 12 Tournament when Durant was at Texas. Ainge was fined $30,000 for the incident.

Kevin Durant Says Chris Bosh Is A Fake Tough Guy
Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Miami Heat 108-103 but the tension ran high after the game when Thunder forward Kevin Durant called Heat forward Chris Bosh a “fake tough guy.” The two forwards each had technicals called on them during the game and constantly where mixing it up. The major incident happened when Durant implored teammate James Harden to dunk on Bosh. Bosh explained after the game that he said, no, Harden would not be dunking on him.
“We just kind of went back and forth,” Bosh said. “I don’t think it was anything to get a tech over. It was just talking.”
Here’s what Durant had to say:
“I was talking to my teammate, and (Bosh) decided he wanted to put his two cents into it. I’m a quiet guy, a laid-back guy. But I’m not going to let nobody talk trash to me. He’s on a good team now so he thinks he can talk a little bit. But it’s a lot of fake tough guys in this league and he’s one of them. I’m no punk. I wasn’t even talking to him, first off. He decided to butt in. I’m not just going to let that slide, especially in our house. He’s not one of those guys that I look at and say he has a rep for talking back to guys or always getting into it. He’s a nice guy. He’s not one of those guys. So I’m not going to let that type of person say something to me like that.”
Oklahoma City Thunder Kevin Durant Game Winning Buzzer Beater

Oklahoma City Thunder Kevin Durant Explains Why Wears #35
Ever wonder why Oklahoma City Thunder Kevin Durant wears the number 35? Well I have, just because the last really good player I can remember wearing that same number in the league was Reggie Lewis back in the day before he tragically passed away. Plus Durant puts the number 35 on everything like Boston Celtics Kevin Garnett does with the number 2 as a tribute to the late Malik Sealy.
As it turns out, it was someone who didn’t play in the league that influenced Durant to wear #35 and his name was Charles Craig, who died at the age of 35.
The guy just gets it.
Portland Trail Blazers Greg Oden Out For The Year Again & Wears Perfect T-Shirt To Tell You
Portland Trail Blazers center Greg Oden and former number one overall draft pick, which Calvin Casey said was a good one at the time, will have microfracture surgery on his left knee and will not play this season. Oden has only played in 82 total games since being drafted number one in 2007. The Blazers picked Oden instead of Kevin Durant, who went to the Oklahoma City Thunder and has blossomed into one of the NBA’s best players.
Oden hasn’t played since last December because he needed surgery to repair a fractured left patella. The Blazers say this operation, will repair damaged cartilage and is unrelated to the patella injury.
The Blazers announced last month they would not offer Oden a contract extension. He was the first No. 1 pick since Kwame Brown not to get one at the end of his rookie contract. Oden will be a restricted free agent next summer and the Blazers will be able to match any offers for him.
The center has already earned over $15 million dollars and will earn another $6 million at the end of this season bringing his average per game to $265,811.24 in the 82 he has only been able to play in.
By the way look at Oden’s shirt in the above picture, pretty much describes everything.

Oklahoma City Thunder Kevin Durant Headlines NBA Skullcandy Crew
Love me some Kevin Durant but I’ll stick to my Beats By Dre headphones but Skullcandy does a fine job of including some of the NBA’s next to represent the company. Skullcandy’s Fab Five include Oklahoma City Thunders Durant and James Harden, Utah Jazz Deron Williams, Chicago Bulls Derrick Rose, Philadelphia 76ers Andre Iguodala.
Still a tough sell against my Beats By Dre.
NBA TV Bobblehead Commercial
No this isn’t a commercial for NBA Jam but don’t bobbleheads make just about anything funnier.
Dwight Howard Chooses Kevin Durant Over LeBron James
Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard was on the Dan Patrick show and he discussed who he would rather have on his team. The question usually involves Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant and Miami Heat’s LeBron James, but Patrick decided to go a different route and asked between James and Oklahoma City Thunder Kevin Durant.
“I’m going to go with Kevin. I like Kevin. I watched him in high school and had a chance to talk to him at an NBA camp before he got drafted.”
Patrick followed up with that his take from Howard was that he thought LeBron was overrated and Durant is better than him to which he responded,
“Wow. I never said that. LeBron is not overrated.”
Durant told of Howard’s comments responded that he appreciated it but said he isn’t even on LeBron’s level but added “I’m working hard as I can though, believe that I’m a competitor but I’m being real.”

USA’s Kevin Durant Writes 1972 On His Shoes Against Russia
Oklahoma City Thunder forward and the face off the NBA for years to come Kevin Durant scored 33 points in USA’s 89-79 victory over Russia. Philadelphia 76ers Andre Iguodala Says Oklahoma City Thunder Kevin Durant Will Be NBA All-Time Scorer
The Philadelpahi 76ers Andre Iguodala told reporters that his USA basketball teammate and Oklahoma City Thunders Kevin Durant will walk away from the NBA game as the all-time leading scorer. Durant, the NBA’s leading scorer last year, needs to score just a little over 32,000 more points to topple the mark set by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who leads everyone with 38,387 points. Iguodala says we’re witnessing just the beginning of Durant.
“Kevin Durant will be the NBA’s all-time leading scorer when it’s all said and done,” Iguodala said. “He loves the game and has a knack for putting the ball in the basket.”
Durant has scored 5,967 career points in the NBA.
