San Antonio Spurs To Host Free NBA Draft Party At High Velocity Sports Bar

The NBA Draft is set for Thursday, June 24 in New York, but the real action will take place in San Antonio at the Spurs free NBA Draft Party at High Velocity Sports Bar at the JW Marriott for all Spurs fans starting at 6 p.m.
Spurs radio play-by-play announcer Bill Schoening will host the night, as fans watch the NBA Draft Coverage live on ESPN. The festivities include food and drink specials, appearances by the Spurs Silver Dancers and The Coyote, and a unique photo opportunity for fans to take photos with their own camera with the NBA Championship trophies. Prizes and giveaways, including Spurs and Silver Stars tickets, will also be distributed throughout the night.
The party tips-off at 6 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Spurs Foundation Fuel Bucks For Teachers Program To Visit Boerne Middle School

Kia Motors and the Spurs Foundation have teamed up to reward one special winner of the Bucks for Teachers Program with a visit from The Coyote and Spurs alum Johnny Moore, tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Boerne Middle School North.
In its first year, the Bucks for Teachers Program encouraged teachers from around the San Antonio area to submit essays explaining the challenges and needs they face in making improvements to their classroom. The program provides twenty winners with a grant to be used towards improvements to the classroom that will enhance the learning environment for the students.
This year’s winner, Ms. Mary Longoria, will utilize the funds to build a greenhouse with her seventh and eighth grade special education LIFE skills students. The Coyote and Moore will spend time with the students and help them pot plants to get their greenhouse started.

Spurs Announce Countdown To Tip-Off With Community Events

Spurs Opening Night is Wednesday, Oct. 28 vs. the New Orleans Hornets, but the fun begins this Saturday when the Spurs Countdown to Tip-Off officially begins the celebration with daily events and appearances scheduled to generate Spurs spirit leading up to SpursDay! Spurs players, The Coyote and Silver Dancers will venture out across town during the Spurs Countdown to Tip-Off. Don’t miss out, below is a daily schedule for the Spurs Countdown to Tip-Off.
DAY 5 SPURS SPREE AT H-E-B (H-E-B Plus! Store, 10718 Potranco, 78251)
Saturday, Oct. 24 2 – 3 PM
Spurs forward DeJuan Blair and guard George Hill will go on a shopping-spree scavenger hunt at H-E-B to raise funds for the San Antonio Food Bank. DeJuan and George will each embark on a timed scavenger hunt to collect the most items on their list. Silver Dancers and The Coyote will help cheer on the fun, with Big Kev providing in-store play-by-play. Each item is worth a $25 value, with a total $1,000 donation to be made to the San Antonio Food Bank. Following the shopping-spree, DeJuan, George, Silver Dancers and The Coyote will help bag groceries and check-out H-E-B shoppers.

It’s SpursDay! The Coyote will spend the day spreading SpursDay spirit and getting fans ready for Opening Night at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center . From 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., The Coyote will make appearances at six different locations in San Antonio and award a ‘SILVER’ ticket to the first person at each location to find him and say the code word..
