Black History Month: February 3rd

First African-American To Hold High Executive Position In Sports
When Former New York Giants/San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, and Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bill White was named president of the National League. He became the first African American to head a major sports league. White served as president of the National League from 1989 to 1994.
In his playing career White was a 7 time Gold Glove Award winner, 5 time All-Star, and was a vital piece to the Cardinals winning the World Series in 1964.
Black History Month: February 2nd

If you went anywhere by the way of a vehicle today you can thank Edmond Berger, you see he invented the spark plug back 1839. Spark plugs are used in internal combustion engines and carries electrodes to form a spark for igniting the fuel. So thank you Berger for helping get my fat ass around a lot easy.
Speaking of being a fat ass, if your a fan of ice cream, write a thank you letter to A.L. Cralle who in 1897 created the ice cream scoop making it easier to pack on the pounds.

Where Are The White Women At?
In the tradition of Black History Month the first day honors goes to the 44th President of the United States and 2009 Noble Peace Prize recipient Barack Obama.
