Ozzie Guillen Tells Bobby Valentine To Go F Himself
Miami Marlins new manager Ozzie Guillen has some choice words for new Boston Red Sox’s manager Bobby Valentine after he got ejected in a spring training game yesterday. Guillen was ejected in the sixth inning of the Red Sox 5-3 victory and as he exited the field, Valentine waved goodbye.
“I didn’t see it,” Guillen said. “I would have told him to go and fuck himself, too. That’s the way Ozzie Guillen is.”
Guillen was ejected in the sixth inning after arguing that a ground ball to first was called foul by the wrong umpire. His coaches believed it was fair.
“It was lesson time,” Valentine said. “Ozzie was telling the first base umpire it wasn’t his call, because the ball was in front of the bag, and he didn’t want to hear that.”
After Guillen was ejected, because of the configuration of JetBlue Park, he had to walk across the diamond and exit through the tunnel beside the Red Sox dugout. That’s when Valentine waved. Asked if he said anything, Valentine smiled.
“See ya,” he said.
Guess Valentine isn’t as innocent as the folksy character he made himself out to be on Baseball Tonight.
