Minnesota Timberwolves President Says Michael Beasley Smoked Too Much Marijuana
The Minnesota Timberwolves on July 9 traded for forward Michael Beasley but team president David Kahn said on July 22 that Beasley “smoked too much marijuana” with the Miami Heat. Kahn has since been fined $50,000 by the NBA for those comments.
Minnesota traded two future second-round picks for Beasley. In 2008, he was fined $50,000 by the NBA for an incident involving marijuana and players Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur. But then again you do have the NBA commissioner David “The Goon” Stern on record saying that it’s not hidden secret that his players smoke marijuana.
