Michael Jordan Says Kobe Bryant Has Earned Comparison
Michael Jordan has stated to youth campers in the past that he would pick Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant or Miami Heat’s LeBron James as well as saying he would taken Bryant in his prime. Now Jordan believes Bryant is worthiness to be compared to him.
Basketball author Roland Lazenby is writing a book about Jordan and tweeted some of his Airness comments after watching Bryant go off on a scoring binge.
“At 19, Kobe told me he just wanted to “be the man.” He scored 50 in a couple of high school games+longed to do it again+again.”
“Kobe’s MJ like in that his every action sets way high standards for teammates. Sometimes impossibly high. It was tough when Kobe was a teen.”
“Kobe’s ultimate competition is MJ. That’s why MJ watches him. MJ made people think what he was doing wasn’t human. Ditto the Kobester.”
“I never said Kobe was better than MJ. MJ just told me Kobe’s the only one to have done the work, to deserve comparison.”
