Deuce McAllister Signs With New Orleans Saints

2 Time Pro Bowler
The New Orleans Saints have brought back and signed running back Deuce McAllister. Although McAllister will be inactive, he will lead the team onto the field for the Saints playoff game at home against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday.
The team released its all-time leading rusher in the off season and McAllister has been embroiled in the StarCaps scandal for taking diet pills that could be used to mask steroid use as well suing Nissan for his lack of knowledge in the car selling business.
The league has had disciplinary suspensions levied against users of the pills overturned by the courts, so until another appeal changes that, McAllister can play. At least in theory.
McAllister was set to be an honorary captain, but Saints G.M Mickey Loomis decided to officially make him part of the team after defensive tackle Rodney Leisle suffered a knee injury.
“This is more about doing something the right way and bringing the guy back,” said coach Sean Payton.
