Denver Broncos Brando Llyod Tells His Former Employers “F” You After Pro Bowl Selection
Brandon Lloyd was the lone player from the Denver Broncos to be selected to the AFC Pro Bowl roster after catching 72 passes for 1375 yards and 10 touchdowns through 15 games. To culminate the occasion, Lloyd was gracious enough to jump on a conference call with reporters to answer any questions they had.
During a press conference with reporters on Tuesday, Lloyd was asked whether he took a certain satisfaction in making the Pro-Bowl after being written off by so many teams.
Asked if he wanted to tell those three teams: ”told you so,” Lloyd said half-good naturedly, half-seriously: “No, I want to say, ‘F*ck you. And I mean that in the most professional way.”
After about 3 seconds of stunned silence, Broncos media relations director Patrick Smyth jumped into the call: “Anything else for Brandon, guys? I have receivers coach Adam Gase here … ”
The 29-year-old Lloyd had bounced around the NFL prior to the 2010 season, never amassing more than 565 yards in 7 seasons with Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington.
