Sports Grind Entertainment, LLC was founded by Calvin Casey in 2003. Calvin immediately partnered with Rudy J and Salami to build and create the infrastructure of the company. They shared ideas and brained stormed together to create The Sports Grind talk show which provides San Antonio sports fans with updated sports news.

Their objective was to provide San Antonio sports fans with both originality and entertainment that was addictive. With these objectives in mind The Sports Grind Radio Show was launched in September and debuted on KLUP a non-sports station on September 13, 2004. After building their audience and fans on the show they decide to search for a sports station in the San Antonio market to host The Sport Grind show. After, researching what The Ticket 760AM station had to offer the partners decide to host the show on the Ticket starting in 2007.

The show began to air on Saturdays only and brought great results “The Fans wanted more!” So, the partners decided to fulfill that request by extending the show to 6 days in 2008. The fans only increased and the fans grew more addicted to the show. The fans have shown their loyalty and follow the show consistently. The San Antonio sports fans love the shows originality, high profile personalities, and energy Calvin, Rudy J and Salami bring to the show.

On March 15, 2010 the Ticket station moved the show from one hour to two hours during the week and can now be heard Monday through Friday at 2 P.M. – 4 P.M.
