Another Former NBA Player Files For Bankruptcy
Antoine Walker, the three-time NBA All-Star who made about $110 million during his 13-year career playing for Boston Celtics,Dallas Mavericks,Atlanta Hawks,Miami Heat,Minnesota Timberwolves, and Memphis Grizzlies has filed for bankruptcy.
Walker worked out a payment plan last year with Las Vegas casinos after he was arrested for writing $1 million in bad checks. But he since was hit with a $2.3 million foreclosure lawsuit on a Chicago-area property he purchased for his mother.
Walker, 33, lists liabilities of $12.74 million and assets of $4.28 million in his filing. The assets include his 2006 NBA championship ring, valued at $6,000. The petition also lists nearly $650,000 in gambling losses in 2008-09.
WTF: Landon Donovan Fans
That’s an awesome picture of Landon Donovan holding up a decapitated Wayne Rooney and what the United States National Team is going to do to England come June 12 in the World Cup.
For those that need a little help in history class that’s 1776 for when this great country seized independence from England in the American Revolutionary War and 1950 was when the United States again handed the Brits another defeat, this time during the World Cup in Brazil 1-0.

WTF: LeBron James
Already in New York Knickerbocker blue I see. That’s one hell of a photoshop on the King With No Rings. I’m sure after seeing this Spike Lee peed himself.
Phoenix Suns Alvin Gentry Throws Up On Sideline
I didn’t need to see it but I did and it was classic. Last night in the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers Game 5 of Western Conference Finals Suns head coach Alvin Gentry blew chunks on the sideline for all of TNT to witness.
It’s just nice to see someone in the NBA other than San Antonio Spurs Tony Parker hit with the germ.
Yankees Fan Eats Kim Jones Pork Chop
Watch as this drunk New York Yankees fan in Minnesota tries not only get his 5 minutes of TV face time but eat YES reporter Kimberly Jones pork chop. Michael Kay was not impressed.
The fan really didn’t want her pork chop, he wanted her life.

Chicago White Sox & Cleveland Indians Make Stand Up 2 Cancer Donation Via Twitter Battle
The Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians yesterday raised $4,000 for Stand Up 2 Cancer through a unique Twitter hashtag battle developed by Digital Royalty.
The two teams used their mascots, the Indians Slider and White Sox Southpaw, to encourage fans to tag their tweets either “#GoTribe” or “#GoWhiteSox,” during yesterday’s matinee game between the teams.
The clubs planned to donate $1 per hashtag up to $1,000 each, thinking that the trial effort would likely generate several hundred participants on each side. But Chicago defeated Cleveland in the Twitter race by an unforeseen score of 7,349-6,481, with both #GoTribe and #GoSox briefly becoming global trending topics yesterday afternoon on Twitter.
The level of fan participation then prompted each club to double their maximum planned contribution to the cancer research charity. The White Sox will also give Twitter user @Snakeyes11 four free tickets to that game for posting the decisive hashtag tweet, while Slider will also buy that fan dinner and pay tribute to the White Sox at the game.
A Beautiful Goal
Not much background I can give except that it comes from the Hungarian League and the man taking the penalty kick is Budapest Honved forward Angelo Vaccaro but I can tell you that’s a beautiful goal.

Mama Margie’s Major Meltdown: Bengie Molina
Every Thursday Sports Grind Entertainment will present you with the Mama Margie’s Major Meltdown. The recipient of this honor goes to San Francisco Giants catcher Bengie Molina who has been in a hitters slump for this past week and a majority of the month of May.
Molina has gone 2-24 in a week and no RBI’s dropping his average from .321 to 283 in that span. Molina’s struggles at the plate have been melting away not only this week but May as well. The month of May has seen Molina go 14-63 with 1 home run and just 2 RBI’s. He started the month with a .343 batting average. In addition to his struggles swinging the bat he batting eye has also cost him in the OBP department where he stands at just .300 for the month.
If Molina continues to struggles past June Buster Posey could be making his 2010 debut.
Charlotte Bobcats Owner Michael Jordan To Be On NBA 2K11 Cover
Hall of Famer and former Chicago Bulls star but current Charlotte Bobcats owner Michael Jordan will be on the new cover of NBA 2K11 as well as being a playable character.
2K has been in negotiations with several players, both teammates and opponents, from the Jordan era to appear in “2K11″ to help gamers and history buffs accurately recreate the heated competition between the classic Bulls and rivals like the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers.
I’m not going out on much of limb when I say that this will probably be their highest selling game in the series to date but what about selling the next generation of NBA stars like Kevin Durant, Tyreke Evans or Derrick Rose.
The NBA Puts Its Stamp On Pizza & Toast
All sports leagues look to maximize their profits in whatever avenue possible that’s why the 2014 Super Bowl will be in New York but the NBA is bringing their label right on your food.
The league recently made some new licensing deals on a whole slew of products, some of them rather bizarre. Yeah it’s an ongoing goal of all sports leagues to expand the brand into places that may attract new customers but when I pick up a slice of pie do I need the S from Spurs.
That’s because the NBA has given permission for edible logos on pizza’s through 1,200 independent pizza parlors around the country. Pizza isn’t the only food product to be altered as the NBA has also given permission to the NBA Pro Toast Toasters, retailing at $34.99, where you can get your favorite team logo burnt into your toast!
Both products will be available starting next year.
Memphis Grizzlies Zach Randolph Implicated In Drug Investigation
All season long Memphis Grizzlies Zach Randolph received high praise for turning over a new leaf on the court with his new team the Memphis Grizzlies. However off the court, he is now accused of being a “major marijuana supplier,” in Indianapolis according to TheIndyChannel.com.
Recently Indy authorities, seized marijuana and ammunition stowed inside a Cadillac Escalade with hidden compartments registered to Randolph, driven by Arthur Boyd. Then based off of what cops found in the Escalade, a northeast side storage facility where Randolph rents four lockers and in two of the four units police found more controlled substances.
Randolph hasn’t been formally charged with any wrong doing, but he has become the focal point of a drug ring investigation in Indianapolis and has been called a “financier for known drug dealers in Indianapolis.”
Steve Nash Does Space Ghost Coast To Coast
Awesome to see Phoenix Suns Steve Nash and Vitaminwater down with Cartoon Network. The 3-D world of Nash collides with the 2-D world of Space Ghost to discuss new possible nicknames, international NBA height requirements.
You know Space Ghost is hilarious.
Boston Celtics Kevin Garnett Leaving Adidas
Boston Celtics Kevin Garnett is ditching adidas for Chinese brand ANTA. The deal was set to be officially announced later this summer in China, as Garnett’s contract with adidas allows for an opt-out at the end of the current NBA season next month. Garnett’s new endorsement deal with ANTA, while still unofficially announced, is reported to be for a huge sum and enough to leave adidas where he had signed a lifetime endorsement contract back in 2003.
While Garnett’s switch to ANTA from adidas seems sudden, Garnett has bounced around in the footwear game throughout his career. He signed with Nike out of high school staying for five years, then departed to AND1 for two years before calling home with adidas. Now, the 34-year-old forward has left the adidas for ANTA, one of the emerging Chinese sportswear companies along with Li-Ning and PEAK who all have plans to make a run at the U.S. market in this coming decade.
Fujian-based ANTA Sports Products Limited was established in 1994 and in recent years has signed official sports contracts with the NBA’s Houston Rockets in 2007 along with its first NBA endorser, Steve Francis. One of the company’s previously used slogans: Keep Moving.
Garnett continues to wear adidas for the time being

WTF: 50 Cent
As was discussed on Twitter yesterday and pretty much all through the hip hop internet circles was 50 cent dropping this photo of him losing over 50 plus pounds in his preparation for a movie role. Fiddy went from 214 lbs down to 160 in just nine weeks by getting on a liquid diet and walking three miles on a treadmill daily for his part as a cancer stricken football player in the movie “Things Fall Apart.”
Alien, sure, dedicated, sure, hell naw, sure, but after all those thoughts it still comes back to that first reaction dammmmm!

Philadelphia Eagles Hank Baskett’s Wife Sex Tape Sex Released
The highly anticipated sex tape of Philadelphia Eagles Hank Basketts wife Kendra is being released early due to an overwhelming demand of pre-sales.
Kendra’s Sex DVD will hit shelves a week earlier than planned because of her “rabid fan base” high demand of requests Vivid Founder Hirsch said. Kendra is scheduled to earn a lump sum of $680,000 upfront and then receive up to half of the earnings from “Kendra Exposed,” which was shot by her former boyfriend, Justin Frye, back when she was 18.
Kendra’s ex-boyfriend Frye sold a virtual library of home videos that numbered as many as 20 tapes and tens of hours of content of the two. It has set up Vivid to release a series of sequels to the “Kendra Exposed” premiere.
Frye received $100,000 for selling the tapes and is also getting a percentage of sales, although it is a much smaller percentage than Kendra’s.
Kendra first shopped the sex tape around in 2008. She retained a lawyer and formed Home Run Productions, LLC in November of that year for the potential sale. Two years after the first sale was nixed, Frye approached Vivid, realizing he was sitting on a goldmine. He cut a deal and then Kendra secretly signed on.
The moral of this story is that you can’t turn Kendra into a housewife Hank
WTF: Phoenix Suns Trainer
After the Phoenix Suns beat the Los Angeles Lakers for a 2-2 tie in the Western Conference Finals TNT went inside the locker room hoping to get a glimpse of coach Alvin Gentry’s victory speech, but got a little more than just that.
While Gentry was talking to his team, OKAY, the cameras caught the trainer giving Lou Amundson a little tickle or that’s what it appeared from my seat at the bar. Of course I couldn’t hear what Gentry was saying while Gun N Roses blasted from the jukebox but I did see the Suns trainers head bob up and down more than once.
Phoenix Suns Robin Lopez Reacts To Justin Bieber
Not even a 94-103 lead over the Los Angeles Lakers can excite Phoenix Suns Robin Lopez than seeing Justin Bieber at least, it just seems that way.

WTF: Phoenix Suns
I don’t know it maybe just me but when I see slashing prices I don’t see to much confidence the city has in its team. Sure that’s probably all changed now since the series with Los Angeles Lakers is tied up 2-2.
Finally we have a series that looks to be worth a damn.
